About Pacific Arts Center Pacific Arts Center hosts a range of contemporary arts programs. Fine arts exhibits make use of the front gallery area of the center. Vist our Art Gallery to read about previous exhibitions. Dance classes, lectures, flim and theatre programs take place in the rear studio, off the lush garden. The center serves adults and children throughout the year, with an arts summer camp for kids in July-August. The center offers several rental opportunities. Faculty More Faculty Bios  Shida
Pegahi, an arts educator and dance choreographer, founded Pacific
Arts Center & Dance Studios in 2002. She studied ballet at the
Royal Ballet School in London and performed ballet, jazz and ethnic
dance with several touring companies in the U.S. She was a dance
instructor at Westside Academy of Dance and Crossroads School in
Santa Monica for many years, and is also the founder and artistic
director of Ney
Nava Dance Theatre, which performs contemporary/mystical Persian
dance throughout southern California and nationally. |
